Program Objectives

The objective of the Bachelor of Science program is designed to produce graduates capable of excelling as future leaders in global business, industry, and commerce. SBI undergraduates are capable of performing effectively and advancing within a variety of organizations and are prepared to pursue advanced degrees here and elsewhere to realize their academic aspirations and further their career goals.

First-Time-In College Students (FTIC):
Students may be admitted to SBI’s undergraduate programs as FTIC students. FTIC students are required to have the following:

Transfers:
Consistent with the mission of Florida A&M University, students enrolled in other schools or colleges within FAMU are welcome to apply for admission into SBI. Students from other universities and community colleges are also encouraged to apply to SBI. The following requirements must be met by students seeking to transfer to SBI:

Progression Requirement:
All students who apply to SBI's Undergraduate Business Administration and Accounting Programs will be admitted into pre-business and pre-accounting respectively until the following requirements are met:

SBI Admissions Criteria
Students who apply to the Economics, Supply Chain Management, and Facilities Management majors are not admitted into pre-business but directly into the respective major. 

Florida Community Colleges

Students who have received an AA degree following the business track from a Florida community college are accepted into SBI’s Pre-Business program upon application. Applicants with an AA degree who did not choose the business track may be admitted, but must complete the business common course prerequisites.
